One day, three photos

It’s always nice to see some “unusual” weather here, and yesterday morning was really cold – there was a nice frost on everything, so I got myself out of bed early enough to make the most of the sunrise. I’ve got some good ideas for shots the next time it’s clear and frosty – I went down to the lakes on campus and got a couple of nice images, but nothing special.

And just for fun, an unusual perspective on the library.

    COMMENT:

Very nice – I can see you’ve really thought about the angles on that library shot.

Thanks, I rather like that one.

I didn’t notice the patterns of light falling on the far left of the frame until just now – I think I could make more of that – next time, Gadget.

It’s interesting, shots of the library are the first where the distortion on that lens (18–70 DX) is noticable – all the straight lines I guess. I think I’ll use my 18–35 next time.

I like the SRC one as well, though it reminds me of unpaid library fines.

Max, I’m really liking your work!

hmm yes, I know that sounded sarcastic (I can’t seem to help it) but it isn’t.

Thanks Vicky. There’s more of my work on my website if you’re interested.

Where may one find a picture of the photographer?

  7. Amy Baker Says:

Good question Vicky – i have thought it myself in the past but thought it might sound wrong.

The Photographer prefers to remain an enigma :-)

Hmmm, i think at least one little photo – a random hidden one, like a reflection in an object you photograph or something.

Youre a Chemistry person arent you – dont suppose you could help with an organic pre-lab question could you?
