Christmas comes to Coventry.
I love: Christmas, christmas trees, Stollen, gifts, snow
I hate: the sudden manic rush to go shopping. Christmas songs playing in shops from the end of November. Mince pies and christmas puddings in the supermarket from The Beginning of October
I really don’t like the way that the retail industry in this country seems to pin its yearly success on making people part with their money at Christmas. It makes the whole thing less special. It’s no longer about giving gifts, it’s about buying gifts. And that is sad.
