So this is what my weekends have looked like recently – I’m volunteering for the St John Ambulance and this was our post at the Thai festival in Milford last weekend.

Excellent fun, all friendly (apart from one guy from the event organisation company who insisted on pointing a loudspeaker straight at us blasting out music. “Health and safety!” Except that we couldn’t hear each other, our patients, or our radios. But hey, we reached a compromise in the end).
